Groups Seek To Force BLM To Broadly Assess GHGs in Oil, Gas Leasing

Environmental groups are broadening a legal strategy aimed at forcing the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to consider the cumulative greenhouse gas impacts when conducting National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reviews for individual oil and gas lease sales, charging that BLM is intentionally segmenting leases to downplay their climate effects.
