FERC Floats Policy For Advancing Authority Over States’ Carbon Prices

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is proposing a policy on its jurisdiction over state policies that would set carbon prices in wholesale electric markets, following on a recent conference where Chairman Neil Chatterjee said he planned to tackle the issue “head on” amid growing state interest in carbon pricing.
