California Lawmakers Advance 100 Percent 'Zero Carbon' Power Goal For 2045

A California state Assembly committee is advancing a bill that would increase the state's 2030 renewable portfolio standard (RPS) requirement from 50 to 60 percent and establish a goal of meeting all of the state's retail electricity supply with a mix of RPS-eligible and other "zero carbon" resources by the end of 2045.
