California Eases LCFS Compliance Curve, But Keeps 2020 Requirement

California air board officials are proposing to further relax year-by-year compliance with the low-carbon fuel standard (LCFS) from 2016 to 2019, compared with a draft proposal floated in October, while maintaining the original regulation’s requirement for a 10 percent reduction in the carbon intensity of gasoline and diesel by the end of 2020.
