Litigation: Refiners file multiple suits over EPA’s denial of RFS waivers

Small refiners are filing multiple lawsuits over EPA’s September denial of dozens of petitions for renewable fuel standard (RFS) “gap filling” compliance waivers, adding to pressure on the agency to issue waivers even as EPA appears increasingly set to leave decisions on further approvals to the incoming Biden administration.
