Litigation: Nissan joins GM in leaving suit over state GHG rules

Another major automaker -- Nissan -- has withdrawn its legal support for the Trump administration’s rule preempting California and other states’ vehicle greenhouse gas programs, further lessening industry support for the administration’s vehicle policies. The move follows General Motors’ announcement last month that it would no longer back the Trump administration’s revocation of Clean Air Act permission for state vehicle GHG programs.
