Congress: Barrasso bill would end EV tax credits, impose new fees

Senate Environment & Public Works Committee Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY) is floating legislation that would repeal the federal tax credit for purchases of electric vehicles (EVs) while also charging owners of such vehicles new fees that Barrasso says are intended to ensure that all drivers pay into the federal highway trust fund.
